Same day delivery not fulfilled

I bought an item at 9:30 am this morning and it still says we are preparing your order. Because it is now past 7:30pm I am confident that it was money wasted and I will not be getting my package today. Is there a way to be refunded the extra shipping cost or is best buy just going to steal that money from me?

Just like I thought, it says it will not be delivered today and will ship by the 4th. Why the huge delay? Why no refund? I do not think I will shop with best buy any more. This is absolutely ridiculous. Why offer a service if you have no intention of following through. Especially since I had to pay more for something that did not happen

Regardless of the item, it’s always disappointing when your order arrives later than originally anticipated, and I can’t say I would feel any differently if I discovered my order weren’t getting to me as soon as I would have hoped.

 

Using the information you’ve provided upon joining our Support Forums, the only order I’m seeing that was placed on September 29 was for free 2-day shipping, however, I’ve been unable to locate any orders for same-day delivery.  I’d like to make sure I’m not missing anything, so if you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your order number

 

This should be enough information for me to begin my research, and offer any additional assistance I can.  As you can imagine, we’ll want to keep this sensitive information out of the public view of our forums, so be sure to use the “Private Message” button in my signature.  If you’re accessing our site on a mobile device, you may need to switch to the “Full Version” of our site before this button is visible.
