Are you not allowed, or not given the full amount back if you pre-order an item that includes a bonus for pre-ordering it?
I was looking at the pade for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and it mentions you will not be able to return the bonus, which I assume is supplied as a digital code on a recepit or something.
Does this mean that even if I don't open the game, I can't return it because it will include a digital bonus? Or I can't get the full value of my return back? I know that they don't allow you to do a return on an opened game, but I am talking about an unopened just.... I assumed that standard return policiy applied to unopened games... but now I am not so sure if that game includes some kind of pre-order/digital bonus like this even if unopened.

Welcome to our forums! It’s always great to receive free bonus items with your pre-order, and as my desk at work can attest, I’ve certainly pre-ordered my fair share of video games over the years. However, it’s not uncommon to change your mind after your pre-order is placed, so I completely understand why you’d want to make sure you’re exploring all facets of our Return & Exchange Promise before you make any returns.
As mentioned in the terms of our Return & Exchange Promise, we’ll generally deduct the value of the free item or items from your return, if your purchase is returned without them. A free SteelBook for example, that might be valued at $19.99. The value of the SteelBook would be deducted from your refund, if your order is returned without it.
With that said, it looks like the free DLC for pre-ordering Final Fantasy VII Remake does not have any cash value, so you shouldn’t expect to see any deductions from your refund, assuming all other terms of our Return & Exchange Promise are met.
I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to visit our Support Forums again.
All the best,
