Payment plans and picking up in store.

Hi,

 

I recently applied and was approved for a best buy credit card, which I got specifically so I could use it to have access to a payment plan option on an upcoming product.

 

So I went onto bestbuy.com, preordered the product, used the best buy credit card (which was already associated with my account) and selected the payment plan -all that is exactly like I planned it.

 

I selected in-store pickup, because it's really important to me to get it on release day, and then when I was reading pickup instructions it said I needed to bring the credit card I used for my purchase. Here's the thing: my physical card hasn't arrived in the mail yet, which didn't even occur to me until after I'd done all this.

 

The point is: Is there any chance it doesn't count as "using a credit card" since I chose a financing plan, or is it possible that since it is a best buy card on my account that I can bring the email confirmation or something?

 

I am just looking for ways to deal with the fact that the physical card might not have arrived by release day and I won't be able to pick up the product if it's required.

First and foremost, congratulations on your new My Best Buy® Credit Card!  Aside from the financing options it sounds like you’re already aware of, there are plenty of other benefits to the card, and I’m happy to hear you’re a cardholder! 

 

Regarding your recent purchase, there are a few items you’ll want to bring with you when picking up your order, including your government-issued ID, the credit card used for your purchase, and your order number.  As we know it can take some time for newly opened credit cards to come via mail, we ask that you speak to a manager when you arrive to pick up your order for options.
