Order cancelation

Hello, 

 

Yesterday I made an online purchase (Order# {removed per forum guidelines}) and I received a message saying the order wasn't quite ready for pick up but you'll let me know. In no way did it say the order was could be subjected to changes or cancellation due to availability. What happened? I woke up today to a message saying my order was canceled with no explanation. I called customer support and they say other people were making the same order, they gave me a terribly poor explanation, and ultimately they will take no responsibility. 

I don't find it fair I could have bought the same product for the same price in other outlets but I chose Best Buy only to have them cancel the order at the last minute with no explanation nor compensation. Now the item is out of stock in other outlets too. I understand Black Friday and the holidays are a complicated time for Best Buy. But you either keep things clear from the minute you send that first email saying the order can be subjected to changes or cancelation, or you allow costumers to buy the same product later on for the same Black Friday price.

I love getting the best deal available as well, so I would not be too happy if my order was cancelled either. You should have received a reason for cancellation in the email stating the order was cancelled.

 

We never want to have to cancel a customer’s order, but our Terms and Conditions state that our order confirmation to you does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. At any time after receipt of your order, we may accept, decline, or place quantity or other limits on your order for any reason. We may impose these limits on a per-person, per-household, per-order, or any other basis. If we reject, limit, or otherwise modify your order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address you provide to us. If we cancel an order or part of an order that we’ve already charged you for, we’ll refund you the full amount of the canceled portion of the order.

 

Regarding honoring promotional pricing after the timeframe of the promotion, this is not something that we would be able to do, as outlined in our Price Match Guarantee.
