Online Order Delayed - No Information Available

I purchased a new Computer on 8/29 that was scheduled for delivery on 9/9.  On the morning of the 9th I received an email stating the the machine had been delayed and no new delivery date has been provided.  Normally having to wait for a new machine wouldn't be too much of an inconvience, but this system was order to replace a system I use for work that died.  There has been no contact from BestBuy, nor can anyone provide any status other than it's not arrived yet.  I understand that this was ordered from a 3rd party, but when looking at their shipping dates, they're less than 13 days to ship a given system, and i'm at 20+ days now.  A bit of Proactive communication is expected, as you have already taken paymen, provided an "estimated" delivery date, and missed that date.  If people can't work, they can't make money!  If you don't have a relationship with your vendor that can be trusted, why provide a delivery date?  It's 2017, people's orders shouldn't be fulfilled when you finally decide to get around to it; this is not an 80's commercial... allow 6-8 weeks for delivery!

I know I certainly wouldn’t be able to do my job without a working computer, so I can completely understand your desire to replace your work computer as soon as possible. While I wish I had a different answer than what it sounds like you’ve already been informed, after reviewing your order, it appears we are still awaiting inventory from the manufacturer before we can fulfill your order. I apologize for any further disappointment this news may cause you, but I recommend keeping an eye on your inbox, should the status of your order change.

I'm in the same boat with them!  I ordered mine on 8/29, and i'm still waiting...  welcome to the party!

 

I was told by a Best Buy employee in store that Cyberpower likes to hold orders until they can do a bunch at a time, irregardless of when the customer ordered or was promised delivery.

I know it's your job, but I didn't need the platitudes... just REAL answers!

 

You really should let Cyberpower know that this is harming your reputation at this point more than theirs!  I will definately not be ordering a system from you in the future, as you vendors can't meet their obligations.

Another week down, another week of lost income! This will the last machine I ever purchase from Best Buy!

So today I see that my order has a message attached that If the order isn't fulfilled by 10/9, I will received instructions on how to cancel the order!

 

Per the Federal Trade Commission web site...

* Your Rights When Shopping by Phone, Mail or Online

 

By law, a seller should ship your order within the time stated in its ads or over the phone. If the seller doesn’t promise a time, you can expect it to ship your order within 30 days.

 

As my order did have a delivery date of 9/9, my order is to be received by the 10/9 date... or I will be filing a complaint with the FTC.

All customers... beware bait and switch tactics from Best Buy, they’ve been trying to up sell me on another computer, after missing their delivery date for the one I ordered by a Month! Then when I call them on the lacking attempts to fulfill my order, they cancel it without ever providing any answers. Charging in advance for a computer you can’t deliver (so you can earn interest on customers money) is called Fraud! BBB and the FTC will be contacted in the morning with all paperwork! Over $3600 of lost income, plus no access to my cash paid in advance for the computer. 20 year customer, never another penny!
