Exceedingly pleased

Thought you should know of an exceptional shopping experience I had at your Best Buy Gresham, Oregon location, spanning more than a week during October 2019. Looking to replace a worn out laptop.

 

Bit of background: in my 70's, hearing impaired with blurred vision, technologically challenged and forced by financial circumstances and nature to unreasonably unrealistic/frugal. Retired, my interest involve live sports streaming, photo imaging and genealogical research.

 

I'm going to avoid detailing the brands and particular models. This project involved buying and returning 6 different units. The first I took back due to overheating. All the rest typically over a single issue like: audio not being loud enough, display graphic quality and not being able to see keyboard lettering. With each return I was greeted with increased helpfulness, technical insight and assurance that we would eventually prevail in finding a unit that would meet my needs. About halfway through this odyssey I concluded as a matter of fairness BB had earned my obligation to purchase from them. Can't imagine that processing 4 returns, albeit the first defective, was profitable. Any consolation, in this instance the profitability comes in the form of goodwill. My daughter lives in Olympia, WA and she's indicated her family has been well satisfied with all their BB purchases too.

 

Some noteworthy, whose names I recall, include: Steve, Geek Squad Manager, Victor and Matthew {removed per forum guidelines} and Jamian {removed per forum guidelines}. High praise go to Jamian who handled I think all returns. The last couple of trips I felt depressed, Jamian never wavered in lifting my spirits and confidence. Matthew was instrumental in guiding to the final choice. Something I had previously ruled out, instinct telling me I'd have to spend more. With each objection he drew comparisons and illustrated how the unit would satisfy my needs.

 

Finally, credit goes to Corporate for instilling the culture emphasizing customer satisfaction.
