I placed an order and then realized that I made a mistake in the model number of the product that I wanted. I called customer care and they told me that they can't "modify" an order so I'll have to cancel and then reorder. So customer care cancelled my order on which I used the promotional coupon.
Now I am trying to reorder the correct model and the coupon is not valid anymore. This is hilarious. There should be a difference between "usage" and "redemption" when it comes to coupons or otherwise its just a hollow marketing ploy or even a scam if the website is not friendly enough to give room for mistakes for customers while ordering. I certainly did use the coupon but was unable to redeem its benefits. Would love any assistance on this issue as the phone customer care is adamant on the fact that I have already used it and refuse to listen to any supporting reason for my request.

Per the terms and conditions of most coupons all coupons are a one time use. So if your coupon was consumed at the time of purchase and you would be refund, the coupon would be considered fulfilled and cannot be restored.
There are some rare exceptions to the rules and so forth but in general once a coupon is used, it can't be brought back.

Thank you for sharing this with us, and welcome to the Best Buy Forums! As hockeycanuckjc mentioned, typically coupons are one time use. I'd be happy to take a look into your order for you, though, and see what I can do to help! Please send me a private message with your full name, email, and phone number and I'll take a look.
