“Banned” Best Buy.com account

[ Edited ]

Good evening,

A while back I had my account pretty much banned in order to “protect my financial interests,” which to me made no sense. And, it still doesn’t. Anyways, I was wondering if my account could be viewed to where I could be able to make online orders again, specifically for in-store pick-up. It’s been over half a year now and I have continued being a loyal Best Buy customer. The main reason I want to be re-evaluated is because I want to be allowed to order for instore pickup. I love buying newly released movie steelbooks on the tuesdays they come out, but my new nursing job will prevent me from being able to go on Tuesdays. These things usually sell out and I would hate to continue missing out on these. Is there anyway I can be helped?

Thank you in advance,
Adrian {Removed per forum guidelines}

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

Who banned it? Did you request your account be restricted, or did Best Buy take an adverse action on your account due to a fault of yours? Need to understand this picture a little better.

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

Best Buy took action. The only thing I can think of were two orders that delivered, but I never saw them. One was a PS4 game in March, the other was a PS4 controller was in September. I have not had any issues with any shipping since. They also never gave me a direct reason for my ban. Instead they just said they did it to protect my financial interests.

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

Hello, Adrian,

Welcome back tot he forums. Thanks for reaching back out to us.

As we discussed the last time you reached out, going forward we will not accept online orders from you. You are still welcome to shop in our stores, but future online orders will continue to be cancelled. There is no further review available for this beyond our previous conversations

I know that nursing is a difficult career, and the hours can be crazy. We do offer in-store pre-orders on select Steelbook releases. Hopefully you can pre-order those going forward so you don't miss out.

Sincerely,

Kyle R|Senior Social Media Specialist | Best Buy® Corporate

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

Can I at least get an ACTUAL reason for why this happened instead of being told that it was done to “protect my financial interest.” I’ve spent thousands of dollars in your store and think that I at least deserve some sort of explanation.

I’m guessing that I’m not going to get an answer?

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

Their word is "Final" I guess it can't get any clearer than that?

I understand that but I’ve never been given an actual reason.

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

No offense but if Best Buy says their word is final , then it is. A company does not have to give you a reason.

Re: “Banned” Best Buy.com account

I’m just wanting to understand why I got banned and what the reason was. I did nothing wrong, so why am I being punished? I’ve spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy and I feel like I at least deserve a reason. It can’t be that hard to tell me why I can no longer give them more money.
