Worst customer service in Homewood, IL

I purchased a 65” OLED from your Tinley Park location, and it could not have been a more pleasant experience from start to finish. However because of how i was treated in your Homewood IL store yesterday (8/26) afternoon I can assure you I will never spend another dollar in your stores again. I attempted to exchange the previously mentioned OLED that I purchased in Tinley Park and the clerk was rude, and once I mentioned I purchased the item at a different store she told me i needed to take the tv “back to them.” She then refused to interact any further and proceeded to have security escort me out. I will say that i did proceed to Tinley Park and they were able to rectify the situation. But the way i was treated at your homewood store has left me with no choice but to shop elsewhere in the future.

I understand that you have some concerns regarding a recent experience that occurred in one of our stores. While I'm glad to hear that you experiences with our Tinley Park, IL store, it truly disappoints me to hear about your experience in our Homewood, IL store. This is definitely not the kind of experience we want for our customers, and our employees should always be respectful and helpful when assisting our customers. As you might have noticed, I had to edit out most of the information in your most recent post, as we do not allow for the sharing of personal information on here, as this is a public forum that anyone can access, and this information can only be shared privately with us via private message. 

 

This being said, I did receive your information, and will go ahead and document your concerns regarding this experience here at Best Buy Corporate, and will be sure to also reach out to the Homewood, IL store with this feedback in hopes that we can address this and prevent something like this from happening again in the future.

That’s fine I wasn’t sure how to send a private message.

Your Homewood store is terrible, and doesn’t honor receipts from other locations in addition to other “rules” made up on the spot by whichever employer you happen to be interacting with at that time. Because of this, I will be shopping with a chain that has consistency going forward.

I understand how you feel, after going through an experience like this, and all I can ask is that you consider giving us another chance in the near future to better serve you and provide you with the great customer service that we strive to provide to all of our customers. Rest assured, I have gone ahead and reached out to the Homewood store's leadership team, and will ensure that your concerns are addressed, in hopes that something like this doesn't happen again in the future.

I can assure you that this will never happen again in the future as I will be shopping with stores that appreciate the $1400 I spend and wouldn’t force me to drive a OLED TV across the state simply because they were not in the mood to do their job and help. I don’t think you’d be as quick to offer a second chance if you had security called on you after spending $1400 and asking politely for an employee to process a return (a pretty routine customer service function).

Your franchise is officially a joke.
