I bought a Samsung 55" TV about ten days ago. Finally got the stand I needed to set up the TV and took it out of the box to find the top corner was cracked. I messaged Best Buy asking what I could do and their tech support said I could take it anywhere. I drove to the nearest BB and they said take it to the one I bought it from, which was another mile away or so. I get to the next store and they accused me of breaking it out of the box and stood by their exchange policy. I've seen other messages on the topic so I expect the same canned response about their policy, but honestly, I've been a loyal customer because I've liked the Best Buy service. But no more, I'm buying from Amazon or elsewhere. Be careful taking it out of the box because they won't have any sympathy or customer loyalty.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community Forums!
I appreciate you taking the time to write us, and choosing to purchase your new Samsung TV from us! Buying a new TV is always exciting, especially if you were upgrading from an older model. I can imagine how disappointing it must be to discover that it was damaged after getting it home.
Although your options are quite limited, I would like to look into this further, and see what I can to assist. Will you please send me a private message with your Customer Service PIN off the receipt or order number, full name, phone number, and e-mail connected to your BestBuy.com account? Update - the private conversation I had with customer service led to nothing other than advising me to reach out to Samsung. Still planning on buying from Amazon, Costco, anywhere but BB.
