I WENT TO BEST BUY IN KINGSTON, NY AND ASKED FOR HELP. THE SALESMAN AND THEN THE MANAGER SPENT A LOT OF TIEM WITH ME GOING OVER DETAILS. ONE OF THE THINGS WE DISCUSSED WAS THAT I WANTED A BLACK OR DARK GRAY KEYBOARD OR I WOULD HAVE ORDERED A DELL ON LINE. THERE WAS A SAMPLE OF AN HP 2-IN-1 THAT I WAS DRAWN TO. I GOT A GOOD PRICE AND EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE GOING WELL. I JUST OPENED THE BOX AND THE KEYBOARD IS SHINY LIGHT SILVER...EXACTLY WHAT I DID NOT WANT. I WOULD HAVE CHAULKED THIS UP TO SOME ERROR BUT AFTER HAVING HAD A LONG DISCUSSION WHEREIN THEY ACTUALLY RESEARCED THE DELL FOR ME ON LINE AND WE DISCUSSED MY OPTIONS..IT WAS CLEAR THAT THEY WERE SELLING ME A BLACK KEYBOARD. THE SILVER IS TO OBRIGHT FOR MY EYES AND HURTS THEM. NOW I HAVE MISSED ALL THE HOLIDAY SALES AND HAVE TO START FROM SCRATCH. EVEN WORSE IS THAT MY COMPUTER IS ON IT'S DEATH BED, I'M TYPING NOW IN SAFEMODE..OR THE COMPUTER HEATS UP TO ALMOST A BURNING POINT. I USED THE COMPUTER FOR WORK AND MUST BE ON LINE FOR HOURS DURING THE DAY.
BEST BUY HAS CREATED AN UTTER NIGHTMARE FOR ME. I WILL BE FILING COMPLAINTS WITH CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THE BBB. I ALSO WILL CANCEL MY BBB CREDIT CARD AND NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. HONESTLY I PREFER SHOPPING AT A CALMER STORE LIKE STAPLES. I'M GOING BACK TO DELL AND THAT'S THAT BUT BEST BUY HAS PRESENTED ME WITH A VERY STRESSFUL SITUATION. IF MY COMPUTER TOTALLY DIES I WILL LOSE INCOME.
I'VE HEARD A LOT OF NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT BEST BUY BUT NEVER THAT THEY ARE LIKE SWINDLING CAR DEALERS, SAYING ANYTHING TO MAKE A SALE. SHAMEFUL.
