Price match guarantee - Managers subjective interpretation

It was disappointing today to speak with a manager in your West Nyack, NY store regarding a price match to Microcenter today.  I spoke with a manager (I can provide you the name privately) regarding a price match and it seems that he was very loose in its interpreation.  I provided him with an picture of an instore advertisement of a DJI spark drone that was taken today along with a receipt of the purchase from Microcenter.  He stated that they will only price match what they can find on the website.  I asked him to call them and again he stated that he could only pricematch the website.  I would hope you managers would know and understand their policy or change your policy to only pricematch websites.

 

We won't be beat on price

We'll match the product prices of key online and local competitors.

NOT TRUE

 

I would like to hope that you can make this right!!

We appreciate all the time you've sharing your feedback about a recent experience when trying to take advantage of our Price Match Guarantee.  We're disheartened to hear that you were unable to start this process after being denied by the store manager.  Thank you for letting us know about this on the Best Buy forums, and please forgive us for the delayed response.  

 

Our guarantee states:  A local retail competitor for retail store purchases is a retail store authorized by a vendor to sell a new, factory-sealed product with a warranty and is located in the same market area (within a 25-mile radius) of your local Best Buy store. A local retail competitor for BestBuy.com purchases is a retail store authorized by a vendor to sell a new, factory-sealed product with a warranty and is located in the same market area (within a 25-mile radius) as either the billing address or the shipping address on record for the purchase.

 

If the local competitor had this item in stock and it was in new conditions, then a price match should have occured.  If the competitor does not have the item in stock any longer, we wouldn't be able to start the price match process.  I do hope that you're able to take advantage of our guarantee and always feel welcome to start this process by calling us over the phone at 1-888-BestBuy!
