Pre-Ordered PixelXL with Sprint FlexLease on 16th,have not received new phone, what to do with old?

I pre-ordered the pixel XL on the 16th, but I was told that it was on back order so I have still not received the new phone. My concern is with what to do with my existing phone, Will I be charged from sprint for not sending back my old phone even though my new phone hasn't come in? Should I cancel my pre-order to prevent the charge from sprint? Or does the 14-day time table to return old phone start upon receiving the new phone?

I appreciate you taking the time to write us regarding your order. I understand where you’re coming from, as it’s never pleasant to find out an order has been delayed. While we do everything we can to ensure orders are available quickly, sometimes there may be delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as this one. You should be ok to keep your “old” phone until the new one arrives, since the new one has not been activated. I would recommend reaching out to Sprint to ensure they are aware that the new phone hasn’t been activated yet, since it hasn’t arrived. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you Deysha, I also recently found out that its only $40 to pay off that old phone, will I still be able to pay off that phone and if that's the case do I still need to send it in to sprint when I get my new phone?

You're very welcome! You will need to speak directly with Sprint about this, JonathanBurke. Since this depends on what type of plan you have, they are in the best position to assist you.
