Today i purchased a bestbuy gift card and when scratching off to get card # and pin, some of the numbers are not legible. When i googled this problem, many others have had the same issue. I called customer service, and they were not helpful. How can i resolve this.

i callled customer care , they said go back their was nothing they could do and next time i should have the local store "show me how to properly scratch off sticker" and the rep then had a good laugh at my situation.

i called ustomer care again and they are telling me they cannot help and to go back to the store where it was purchased. I am confused as i have seen so may respnsones in this forum where moderators are sending people in this scenario to customer care. Unless i have 2 agents who are cofused, cutomer czre cannot help in this scenario.

Bought it from a Best Buy store, depsite multiple folks advising customer care can reissue the card, i have had multiple customer care agents advise that they cannot do anything.

Went to the store , with the receipt in hand , and they were able to give me the card # and see that the balance is all there. Spoke with Manager at length, and she will not re-issue the card without the PIN ( it is also scratched out ) and customer care cannot provide the PIN. Manager was able to provide the card # to me , but as far as i am aware you cannot make a purchase online , or check balance without PIN.
