Amazon Kindle

I was on vacation to US 2 weeks back and i bought around 1000 USD purchase from best buy. Unfortunatley my amazon kindle was not working propoerly. I tried to return through one of my friend was travelling to US from india. When my friend showed the device in best buy store in Grapevine, Dallas they told that this will not be replaced and it was a display issue. This was a shocking news for me and i am sure that nothing happened to display manual from my end. The issue happened when the i configured the kindle and was asked to restart. The display got stuck and hardly i worked for 10 minutes. Kindle help me in replacing this device as its still in the replacement period

Welcome to out Community. As I know from my own experience, it is upsetting indeed to have a brand new product develop a fault soon after purchase. I was discouraged to hear you've had this occur with your new Kindle and I regret any inconvenience to you.


Generally speaking, our stores should accept returns of products within the return period and in accordance with our policy. Best Buy's Return & Exchange Promise allows for the return or exchange of most products within 15 days of purchase (30 days for My Best Buy Elite members and 45 days for Elite Plus members). For the Holiday gift-giving season, our return period has been extended to January 14 for purchases made on or after October 29, 2017.


If your product's issue was determined by our store to be due to damage not defect, they would not have been able to offer a return or exchange and Best Buy does not accept damaged products for return. 


You may wish to contact Amazon directly for options under the manufacturer warranty. You can find more information via One-Year Limited Warranty for Amazon Devices.
