South Anchorage Geek Squad

I just drove to the South Anchorage Best Buy to get service on a computer I bought there only find out since I purchased it you need to make a reservation. I get up to the counter and they were so busy one Geek Squad agent was flirting with security and the other was playing games on his phone. I could see the reservation board once I was there and it looked like the last few didn't show. I was told it would several days before they could see my computer because they were too busy just then and the reservation that was already 30 min late might still show up. We were not informed of the change to make reservations prior to bringing the broken in What ever happened to customer service? It's below zero outside and loading up everything only to be told I will need to do it all again in a few days is truly poor service when they are sitting there playing around. I will never be purchasing anything from them again, I will shop Amazon from now on

Thanks for joining the Best Buy Community forums. Not being able to get the service you expect is never a good experience. That's why we implemented our reservation system some years ago. We want to be sure that our clients have dedicated with with an Agent to get their computer checked out.


I'm sorry about the poor experience you had in South Anchorage. If someone doesn't show up for a reservation,w e should do our best to accommodate folks that come in without a reservation. It sounds, from your description, like we should have been able to find time for you.
