Re: Formal Complaint

I purchased an lg oled 11/23/17. Paid $1800 + for it. We winter in Arizona so the tv only gets used 8 months a year. When we bought it the salesman sold us on the fact that it would automatically reset pixels to prevent burn in. To make a long story short in Aug a message indicated that it would run the pixel reset. Well not only do we have burn in we have a huge green blob in the middle of the screen. Have conacted LG and they will not even get back to us. Best Buy will not stand behind it either. There is no way that this should happen. Research on internet reveals an ongoing design problem and many complaints.

Hi, mac69,

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. Having a television stop working is never a good experience. I'm sorry that happened to you.

From your post, that television is beyond its one-year manufacturer's warranty. It also sounds like you don't have a Geek Squad Protection Plan on it to cover a repair. I'd like to look into that to be sure.

Please send in a private message by using the link in my signature. I'll need your name, email address, and phone number to get started.

Sincerely,

Re: Formal Complaint

If I had the manufacturers warranty I would probably not be posting a complaint. My point is that you sold me a piece of carp tv that did exactly what you told me it would not do. As the seller you will not stand behind it and LG will not either.I am out $1800 and it's like too bad.It looks like the only thing I can do is relate my experiences with others, which is what I intend to do.
