Customer service

I was visiting family in Little Rock area when I noticed that my laptop had a missing screw on the bottom. I went into the Best Buy in North Lottle Rock to see if I could get someone to take a quick look and let me know if it was an easy repair. The oung lady told me I would have to make an appointment with the Geek Squad to look at it and see. Since I'm not from here and will be leaving tommorow I am not able to make such an appointment and leave my laptop for whatever time they would need to replace a very small screw. I find it hard to believe that an apointment is needed while I'm in the store for someone to look and tell me that yes it has to be sent off, or that screw will need to be ordered or anything like that at all. It appeared that I was asking to move a mountain when a 1 minute conversation with the Geek Squad was all I wanted. Needless to say I left the store and went to a competotor nearby that also sells computers and the clerk said he didn't have the part but was willing to order it. I politlely told him that would not be neccesary. That's all I wanted from the Best Buy I went to. I have purchased many things over the years from Best Buy and I was really surprised at the way things were handled today.

I forgot to add that I purchased 4 new laptops from the competitor of the Best Buy store I was in. We had planned on giving them to our grandchildren for Christmas and I was going to get them at the Best Buy I was. Oh well. I guess they won't miss that little purchase of about 1900 dollars.
