iPods and MP3 players

I want to buy my daughter an iPod for XMas. Don't know the diff bt all the generation classifications and such.  I am thinking of purchasing a pink iPod nano 16GB and the arm band thingy combo to go with it.  The arm band thingy says 4th generation but the iPod description doesn't say anything about a generation.  Also, I think a car charger would be a good idea.  Don't know if it makes a diff but she has a cell phone that has internet and all kinds of stuff on it. Help!

4G and 5G nanos are the same size, so an armband would fit both.

Thank you Nokia.  Coupla more questions, pelase...is the 5G the newest iPod designation for the "nano" class or does it matter? It looks as if the shuffle doesn't hold enough songs and the touch way more expensive...nano is the way to go?

I'd go with the Nano.
