I just bought a Samsung 46" 1080p LED HDTV UN46C6300 to replace a Sharp 46" LCD and now I have major lip sync issues with my Blu-Ray and Verizon Fios Cable Box when running it thru my surround sound. The sound from the receiver actually lags behind the video not ahead.
My components are:
TV - Samsung 46" LED UN46C6300 Receiver - Kenwood VR407 (No HDMI inputs, use optical) Blu-Ray - Samsung BD3600 Cable Box - Verizon Fios HD DVR
I have it routed it as follows (which was exactly the same as when I had the Sharp 46" LCD TV again with no prior issues):
I run the HDMI out from the Blu-Ray player to the TV and the Optical out from the Blu-Ray to the Receiver.
I run the HDMI out from the Verizon Fios box to the TV and the Optical out from the Verizon Fios box to the Receiver.
I don't have any lip synch issues when I just listen thru the TV's internal speakers.
Will this issue be solved if I were to buy a new receiver and run the HDMI’s from both the Blu-Ray and Cable Box to the receiver first and then the HDMI from the receiver to the TV?
