Is there any way to NOT sign up for this? I don't want this when buying a new phone!

Any smartphone (BB, Android, or WinMo) requires the $30 data plan. Additionally, some featurephones require a minimum $10 75MB data plan. The BB-carried phones that fall under this would be the Rogue and enV Touch. You are required to have the plan as long as you have the phone.
