well this is my first preorder so I just wanted to see how it feels to preorder and have it by release date. I also dont have a credit card so I had to use my gift card to preorder this

Best Buy should make this 'picking up in store on release date' very clear when you pre-order then. As for those who get the red flag and banned. I was seeing posts on a popular site with gameplay on the 9th. Plus, unless I have been lied to, I was told that some certain stores are as part of a promotion allowed to sell it a day early. I dont know if it is true, and I am skeptical. But if activision is allowing certain individuals to play and post the day ahead of time I am also disappointed in them.

I am finding it personally silly to pre-order now. The local huge unamed discount store had over 1400 copies available. The reason I didnt go to them in the first place was because I didnt think they sold the hardened or premier editions. I was wrong, they did have many in stock.

I am also prettyy sure there will be no mail delivery today since it is veterans day.  Oh by the way my boss pre-ordered his MW2 for his son and guess what came in the mail yesterday.  So the notion that it cannot be mailed and arrive the day its released is a lie.  It ws ordered from an un named online store and shipped standard shipping.

My copy of MW2 arrived in my state about 3 hours ago. Logically, somebody would have to be working in order to check the incoming packages. So I'm hoping that means there are still deliveries being made today.

My pre-order still says it is "in process". No signs of shipping a day after release. Will I get my prestige edition or should I go buy one at the local discounter while they are still available? Any thoughts?

It depends on what you wanna do bro. If you really, really want your copy then go buy it at the store and return the one that gets delivered (unopened of course).

This was my first time pre-ordering a game off of the internet and i got to say that i made a bad choice. 11/10, recieved by shipper in Hebron Kentucky. 11/11, accepted by USPS in Heborn Kentucky. At this rate i will recieve the game next week! Next time im going to @m@zon and pre-order from there, ill save $2 if i choose realease date delivery. I guess we are suppose to learn from our mistakes huh?

Agreed.  I already paid $434.00 for the pre-order of Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console (with Game) for my husband, and I have nothing to show for it.  It was supposed to be a surprise for him.  All I have is the initial email that states it will be shipped 1-2 days.  I received no emails with tracking or shipping info.   [sighs]   I called the 1-800 Best Buy and spoke with rep.  When I asked for the status of order, he said your order says it will ship in 1-2 days?  What?????   So, what did he tell me that I already didn't know, he just read from the the same order page, I have.  [rolls eyes]
