I want to know if Best Buy is going to do any thing about this "error"? First thing is the persons responsible going to be fired because 1699.99 looks nothing like 9.99? And I'm sure a lot of people review your adds before they are posted so how did this happen? That is not a rhetorical question. Why not make a compromise like one per order. Or was this a stunt? SHAME ON YOU. Just to say "sorry our bad" is not enough for a company your size you should have to be held responsible by paying out or a heck of a huge fine. You brought this on your self, you and several of your employees did this. And how is it you where able to change the free shipping in the middle of the night but not the price? You should have just left it inoperable completely and not allowed anything to ship.

Ajean has a very good point. Best Buy was able to change the shipping cost (included it in the purchase) but not able to change the price of the merchandise? Hmmmmm.
Was is an advertising gimick? HMMMMMM.
I agree. A compromise would be to limit the purchase to one unit per customer. That may quiet the masses.
Sincerely,
C.

It was up for way too long. It was a stunt, the better question is, in the end, what are they going to do for us? I don't think its asking too much for orders to be fulfilled, at least small ones (1-2 units). It wouldn't cost them too much, and they would get a lot of good press for it. Right now, they are getting nothing but trouble, they will either give in or lose a lot of customers.

Well even after the official email saying my order was cancelled, my order is STILL on the site as being in process, now my card wasnt charged yet (obviously didnt make it that far) but if my order is cancelled, why is it still there? Would be nice if they do end up honoring people who didnt try and take advantage by ordering 10 TVs or multiple orders of 3 or something, people that wanted ONE TV obviously werent trying to take advantage of the company

My family, friends, and I are bring this issue to Federal Trade Commission, since the only thing Best Buy can do is "we apology for for the pricing error and we will not honor the incorrect price," so we have to do something to protect our rights as customers. I don't like to be lied to and Best Buy did just that. If they weren't going to honor the price then they should have double checked what price they put up there. Best Buy also lost me as a customer forever.

Best Buy should do nothing. They owe each of you nothing, it was a error in pricing. You all act like you have never made a mistake, unlike you Bestbuy and the editors did make a mistake and if you all were normal you would understand that a TV of any size at the price can not be right. Oh by the way NO I don't shop Best Buy, there prices are high compared to thier competitor that went out of business and now is a online store or BHphoto

You people have a disgusting sense of entitlement. Best Buy doesn't owe you anything. There is a reason why they have a disclaimer in place. This is not the first time a pricing error has occurred on an online store. Week after week you'll find pricing errors on Walmrt.com, Amazn, Best Buy, etc. Now that the pricing error is extreme in your favor, you are trying to take advantage of the legal system. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you're wasting your time.
Whether it was a computer error or human error, mistakes happen. No matter how large a corporation Best Buy is, they have the right to refuse honoring an obvious pricing error (I mean, c'mon.. 10 bucks for a premium 52" LCD HDTV? Use your head). They are not going to foot the bill of 100s of thousands of dollars because someone in IT screwed up.
So, in short, give it a rest.

Well, according to a confirmation e-mail I received from Best Buy, they owe me one Samsung television.
The money has not been returned to my bank account...

That goes without saying. They owe you the TV or a complete refund. Rest assured, you will get your 10 bucks back. I gaurantee that it was never even charged, but just a temporary authorization that will be reversed.
