I bought a copy of Madden 11 online last Thursday 11/25/10 (along with a PS3 console, which arrived today), and I got an email from Best Buy saying that it has been shipped and gave me a tracking number (mail express). The link however gave me this
"No results were found. One of the following may have occurred: 1) The tracking number was entered incorrectly; please confirm the number and re-enter. 2) We have not received the package or data from the shipper at this time; please try again later"
I realize that this was free shipping and might take a little bit (estimated delivery time is thursday though), but I was just a little concerned with the fact that I haven't gotten any tracking information at all. It would be a little more reassuring to see where my game is.

I'm not with BB, just a disappointed customer at the moment. But through other online purchasers I have noticed that there are new methods of shipment. If it is a USPS tracking number, try entering it on fed-ex tracking. Some retailers are going to a method called smartpost, fed ex picks up and delivers to a post office for delivery. Hopefully this helps, if not I tried where BB seems to fail. I think DHL may even have a similar service so may try there as well.
On a side note, how was your PS3 purchase, that si what I ordered but on Sunday and I have yet to receive a confirmation of order or any other email than one trying to sell me accessories. I'm concerned it is going to be canceled.

Tracking numbers are issued when the package is ready for pick up. The delivery company (the tracking portion) has nothing to indicate that tracking number until it it processed in their system. I would derive that this was the delay in your tracking number showing up.

I'm having the same problem. My order shipped 12/1 and I'm not able to track it using the number sent by BB. I'm now on the phone waiting to speak to a customer representative, with an estimated wait time of 20 minutes. I don't understand why they issue a number that is invalid. I'm disappointed in BB.

It's just that the Mail Express Streamlite or whatever is terrible. If I had known it was going to be some random courier company and not USPS handling my order, I wouldn't have ordered through Best Buy. They didn't update my tracking number until a week later after the package was already in route. They then hand it back off to USPS for local delivery. You'll then get another tracking number with them that won't update for awhile and won't tell you anything until it's delivered. The whole process is terribly slow, and much slower than any normal carrier. If you selected free shipping, don't expect your items until at least 2 weeks after your order was submitted.
If you want your stuff in a timely fashion at a good price, just go to Amazon.com. Their free shipping was through USPS and I got my item in 4 days, no BS with good tracking numbers and confirmation emails. Placed the order 4 days after BestBuy.com order and it was already delivered. I have yet to receive my Best Buy order.

I ordered the product on 11/27/10 and have not received it as of 12/6/10. Worse yet, I don't know where it is.
I have had the same experience as many others. The tracking number is completely invalid. The BBY number is also invalid. If you search through the community postings-you can see that that the online buying experience has been a nightmare for most consumers
I am on the Best Buy hotline as I write this and it says the wait time is in excess of 20 minutes.
Get it right or lose customers!!

Ok, so I THINK this might help. I had the same issue, and 4 days after the order was shipped, the tracking information is still not processing. I called UPS, and they said that if a package was shipped more than 3 days ago and was not scanned, it was considered "lost", and I would need to contact the company to have them reship the order. I called customer service (at 5am CST, ouch), and because I had already called UPS, they said they would ship out a new one today. While I'm not sure if it worked (It's only 6:28am CST), That may solve some of the problems. *crossing my fingers*.
