Ok, so long story short I went to Best Buy on Saturday to get a replacement for my HTC Incredible 2 for the 7th time. I recieved a loaner phone while I was there..
Subquently I was at the park with my nephew and of coure the phone fell out of my pocket and broke (my name should be bad luck!). The screen cracked in the top right hand corner, not horrible but noticable.
I understand that now I will be on the hook to pay for this phone and that I will get to keep it after I pay for it.
I was just wondering if I was to use my Buyback Program for my Incredible 2 and get that money on a gift card and use that towards the money that I owe Best Buy. I figured that this would be ok since its still money that I would be giving to them, and they are getting my phone and I will keep this one.
What do you all think?
Also, do you think I am just better off going and getting this screen repaired?
I am a college student and just thinking of my best options.

Good morning Rocky911,
As a mom of a college student I know it’s hard to have extra money for situations such as a broken phone so buying a protection plan for your phone is definitely a smart investment. 7 exchanges plus a broken loaner phone would seem like bad luck, and I’m so sorry to hear about all the troubles you’ve experienced with your phone.
I would like to look into this further to see what options you have, and how I can better assist you. Using the e-mail you registered on the forum, I was able to locate your personal information but not the plan or the service orders for the times you’ve taken your phone in. I would appreciate it very much if you could send me the latest service order number or your plan number via private message. To send me a private message, please click to the right of my signature.
Thank you for reaching out to us via the forum and I look forward to continuing to work with you.
