a little over one week ago i bought a Belkin TuneCast Auto Universal portable MP3 device player for my car. I want to return it because it does work , or rather work like how the salesperson said it would work. I bought it on a giftcard that i still have but i threw our the reciept before opening the box (stupid, i know). Can i still return it since it is in the original packaging, and if so, could they use the giftcard purchase history as a reciept? I bought if for $50.00 and really wish i could get a refund. What should i do?

I paid it all on the giftcard and still have a balance of about $2.00 more or less on it but i also haven't yet talked to anyone at the nearby store which is where i bought it from.

Hello gababy129,
Welcome to the forums!
From what you've described there shouldn't be any problems with accepting the return. The money will be refunded back to the gift card and the sales associates should be able to find the receipt under the gift card number. Please make sure to bring a valid ID and all the contents that came with the item.
If you have any issues, please post here and we'll look into the situation further.
