FALSE advertising!
You do not take DLP TVs!
You sold these why don't you take them back?

The recycle program will only accept TV's under 42 inches and unfortunately no DLPs.
It has something to do with what they can take and recycle. They also can't take microwaves and large appliances.

Aww that sucks. I hate it when red tape crap like this gets in the way of recycling. Recycling should be hassle-free so that more people do it!

If the tv still works, then why not donate it to a charity such as Goodwill or Salvation Army if Best Buy will not take the tv back in for their recycling program? I'm sure someone would snap it up quickly as long as it works.

Hi jalbertini,
I am of the same mindset of CrimsonRain in that I hate it when anything gets in the way of recycling, but you are correct that our stores do not accept DLP TVs as part of our recycling program.
I can say that we do provide haul-away service that will end up recycling items like this. If you are planning on purchasing a new TV to be delivered to your home we should haul-away this old TV when we deliver the new one. If you aren’t purchasing a new TV from us we do sell haul-away service. I hope this helps!
Thanks for posting,
