I purchased a laptop a couple of years ago, and it came with a free upgrade on Windows. I never picked it up, however, but now I have no recovery disk for Windows. I would like to claim the copy of Windows now as I pretty sure there wasn't an "expiration date" on the offer. Please let me know where I can pick it up.

Are you refering to the Windows 7 upgrade that was offered before Windows 7 came out and while units were still shipping with Windows Vista?
If so, yes there was an expiration on it and you're sadly well beyond that as it expired 1/31/2010.
They were all handled by the respective manufacturers and here's the old bestbuy.com page for it (but sadly as you're well past the expiration it won't do you any good).

Yes, that offer is long gone. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the computer. You can order the recovery discs directly from them and they usually don't cost that much money. To contact the manufacturer, you can find the phone number and a website link of their online store for ordering them at this link.

Hi pogojomedr,
As AaronE and Mbrguy have stated this offer expired long ago, and there would be no way to provide you any Window 7 upgrade you might have qualified for in the past. If you are in need of a recovery disc you would need to contact the manufacturer in order to purchase a copy from them.
Thanks for posting,
