Best Buy & Geek Squad Policies

I've just bought an Xbox 360 on Bestbuy.com thru Paypal and chose the Store Pickup options. However I put my dad's name instead of mine as the person who will pick it up.  Is there any way I can change this?

Also, when I pickup my Xbox 360, can I buy a Geek Squad warranty plan?

888-Best-Buy may be able to change the pickup name, but I'm not entirely sure.

As for your question on the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection - you can most definitely add that in-store when you go to pick it up.

It falls to me to inform you that we would not be able to change the name on your order. The person that places the bestbuy.com order is listed in the billing information on the order. So basically, if you are listed in the order as the Bill-To person, you are the person that has to be there to pick up the order in the store.

That being said I’ve got two suggestions as to how you can get this resolved. One, you can have your dad call us as he is the Bill-To person on the order. He can have the item shipped to your house or have the order cancelled. Once cancelled, you can initiate the second suggested resolution: reordering with your name as the Bill-To person. You can do that in the store, over the phone or online.

As JM said, Geek Squad Black Tie Protection for your new Xbox 360 can be purchased at the store when you pick up your order.  If you elect to reorder, you can also buy the plan online.
