well he doesn't really know that much about pcs, plus too, if I remember correctly laptops are usually in some white stuff to prevent dust from getting on it, so when he took it out he wouldnt have realized. They arent even no markings on the laptop saying what series it is or what specs it has. Remember too, they are also very close in colour

I think he told me there is an asus place not too far from the best buy in Manhattan NY, so he told me he was also gonna try to carry it there and try and get the correct laptop.

Unfortunately, I do not foresee him getting another laptop... especially without the original box. Sorry to say but it really does seem like there's not much you can do.

I was kinda saying the same thing, without the box it seems hopeless. I hoping at least with the receipt it would be enough to exchange it. Im kinda keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you very much sir. Really appreciate it, because there is no way for me to return it in 2 weeks unless I use Fedex, and I don't have enough money to use them. So my only option is to wait till my friend goes back down in April. The only information I would be able to leave is a name, number and address

Thank you for visiting our forums. I can understand your frustration over what you are claiming. The chances are pretty much slim to none when a different computer is packaged in place of another. I am not saying it cannot happen but it is rare.
We receive these units from the manufacturer sealed and we do not open them to inspect them. We do sell opened box computers. They clearly marked on the receipt and packaging as so. I cannot guarantee the store will be able to exchange this unit for you but I’ll be happy to look into this for you. I’ll be sending you a private message to collect some information from you.
